Julian Cosser

Hello and welcome to Langport and Street Veterinary Centre.

I qualified from Bristol and then spent time working in mixed practice and travelling. I got married in 1996 and worked in Rotorua, New Zealand for a couple of years.

I joined the Edwards and Glas partnership in 2005 and we formed Langport Veterinary Centre. Back then, the practice was more than 50% farm animal and was a three partner clinic. In 2012, Steve Glas retired and we stopped farm animal work. We took on Wessex vets in 2005 and renamed the clinic Street Veterinary Centre. Tim Edwards retired in 2018 (and stills helps out when necessary). So, it has been an enjoyable experience moving from a three vet mixed practice to a two centre six vet predominantly small animal practice in less than 20 years.

My main interest at work is small animal surgery, both soft tissue and orthopaedic. I love planning and performing more challenging surgeries. I really enjoy mentoring new vets and appreciate what a great team we have at the two practices.

Outside of work, cycling and triathlon are my main interests and I am a founder member of Langport Cycle Club.
